Featuring an infectious funk groove, soulful vocals, and a powerful horn arrangement, this production highlights my work as a composer, lyricist, and arranger beyond the traditional Big Band repertoire.

This excerpt from my original studio arrangement of Show Me How To Groove illustrates how I combined the rhythmic energy of pop and funk with the orchestral colors of a jazz ensemble.
The arrangement features a seven-part horn section — flute, two trumpets, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trombone, and baritone saxophone — complemented by strings and keyboards.
The tightly coordinated horn figures and syncopated rhythms give the production its distinctive groove.

Sylvia chose an intimate small-ensemble setting, bringing warmth, elegance, and a personal character to the composition.
Alongside this recording, Becker has created an expanded arrangement for full Big Band, Strings, Timpani, and Harp, with plans for a future recording featuring Sylvia Vrethammar.
